Good morning!
I hope you are all well, and enjoying the lighter evenings, if not all the wretched and endless rain. I have to keep telling myself that the laws of probability say that it cannot rain forever and that warm sunny days are coming. Surely?
Things are super busy for me at the moment, one hint of spring and the world goes barbecue mad. My summer is full to bursting, events, festivals, classes, a little post GSCE mini break with my daughter, and an escape to Greece with my best mate.
My new book SCORCHED was published last week and I couldn’t be happier with it. If anyone has it already, thank you, thank you, I do hope you love it. Once you’ve had a chance to read and cook a little from it, a review anywhere you brought it would be amazing. Reviews on Amazon in particular make the world of difference for authors because as soon as you get a few you get pushed up the algorithm and word gets out that it might just be a book worth buying. Here’s some of my fave pics from it, I look at them and feel warmer…

And finally - Fire School has a Kitchen Manager
Becky has been working with me for a couple of years now as my assistant at classes but this spring she has committed to helping me more with the admin and organising side of things. At this time of year things get so busy for me that I occasionally drop one of the many balls I’m juggling. Much as I like multitasking I find that I sometimes (often) run myself ragged trying to doing everything single handedly then I get super pissed off with myself when something goes wrong. So a massive welcome and thank you to Becky for stepping up to become Kitchen Manager. Both of us will continue to run every class together but if you get in touch about anything Fire School it is likely to be Becky you talk with. We have a new email for anything class related:
BristolFireSchool@genevievetaylor.co.uk
For those of you that haven’t been through class, here’s Becky in action with the turkey on one of last years Christmas classes (doesn’t that already feel like a long time ago?!)
Looking forward to meeting many of you this year and in the meantime, happy grilling!
Big love, GT x
Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks Gen xx 🤗🔥🔥
